This is year lucky 13 in what is likely the longest running holiday series in experimental music. Some old favorites (C/A/T, who has been on every one of these discs, Conure, who is the Santa Claus of Noise, and Stolen Light and Goose, of course) and new participants like Humanfobia and Nava Spatiala make for a great mix of holiday cheer. This is a lot more mellow overall than previous discs, but still a fun mix of styles. And I think I can go out on a limb and say that this also has the only power electronics cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas," and you get it free of charge! In short, I think that This Is What I Hear When You Talk speaks for all of us when he says that this will be the best Christmas ever. OK.... actually this may be one of the only good things to come out of 2020.
